We have an offshore windfarm close to us.

Plans to double the size of it have been slammed by the local tories.

We've got them here, scattered aboutin towns. I know personally I'd rather see some of those than some power plant belching out fumes. But this is something that does happen, people are concerned about the landscape (fair enough) but still want to use the power. I remember someone complaining on TMA years ago about a wind farm on top of a ridge.

I often wonder if people actually bothered to protest so much about the power plants or just down want a wind farm spoiling their view
