After the student occupation and trashing of Tory HQ last week, the police have been studying footage and tracking people down.

As many of them hadn't done anything like it before and were being easily picked off, the FITwatch site (which concentrates on the police's Forward Intelligence Teams - the ones who film and photograph people at demos and for thoughtcrime) put up some advice for those concerned.

The Metropolitan Police made the host take the FITwatxch site down for at least a year. So other sites around the world have been republishing the advice. It's the new Feature article on U-Know.

I'd read about that site being taken down, and wondered what the "offending" text was. Thanks Merrick.

On what grounds was the FITwatxch site taken down?
Was it "a threat to Democracy and The Freedom of Speech"? ;o)

I used to think that you ocassionally had some good things to say and some good insights too.
Not anymore.
Your U-Know article is primarily a primer on how to cover your tracks after commiting felonious acts.
Nice one Merick.
I also couldn't help but notice what a bandwagon jumper you were when AQK posted that awful and slanderous thread about Bono.
You Stink.

No mention of fire extinguisher chucking in your article, is there?

Don't tell me...the police had magnets in their helmets and it was their fault.

Careful Merrick its all getting a bit like this here :

; )

BTW what the fudge happened to Radio Savage Houndy beasty ?

I enjoyed your tales of penis beef and filthy Rolf Harris

For the sake of those who don't seem to get why Merrick posted that article, can I point out the U-Know mission statement thingie:

U-KNOW! is the place for practical idealists, here to inform and inspire. A place for all you big dreamers, radical believers and humane revolutionaries to arm and affirm your righteous heart in the quest to overthrow power worship and the dollar culture.

“Yet my Mind was not at rest, because Nothing was Acted, and thoughts run in me that Words and Writing were all Nothing and must Die, for Action is the Life of all and if thou dost not Act, thou dost Nothing”
— Gerrard Winstanley, ‘A Watchword to the City of London’, 1649

I'm not saying that I agree with fire extinguishers being thrown (and neither was Merrick). Merely that linking to an article that had been supressed by our jolly police force was completely within the scope of the site remit.

and that's the gist of it, isn't it... i've come accross't a couple of similar lists of recommendations in regards to calls to action... i.e... very non-descript clothing, black shirt means black shirt no nike or polo man deal... cover yer ink, remove jewelry, head coverings for hair, oversized sun shades, walmart sneakers... yadda, yadda, yadda...

i quit attending a rather well known event of motorcycle enthusiasts a few years back when i realized there were those taking pictures of me and my bike (license plate) rather than the cute young things 5 feet away flashing their tit's...

i tell my kids over... and over... and over…

if you write it… it will be read
if you say it… it will be heard
if you do it… it will be seen

keep the faith, whatever it may be…
