In the case of Israel, unfortunately, there's too many people who don't really give a rat's ass about the illegality and immorality of their expansionism. In fact, they SUPPORT it fully. I'm talking about the evangelical and fundamentalist lot who believe all the Jews must return to Israel so that Jesus's return can happen.

Incredible that despite the fact some Palestinians are Xtians, the Xtians in America back Israel fully. Not much loyalty to their own there. Not that I believe that they really think of Israel as their 'friend'... it's just a prophetic mechanism to those whackjobs. According to their bizarre 'rapture' ethic, the Jews are 'God's chosen people', but if they don't convert to Xtianity when Jesus returns, they'll be slain in their tracks by 'the prince of peace'!!!

Yes, and half those rockets that are launched from the other side probably land at where they once owned a fruit and veg stall or something.

Doesn't totally equate to protecting their 'own land' when the definition of what that means shifts as they feel like it.
