But that's actually a line of reasoning that worries me (a little). It wanders dangerously close to a kind of "hair shirt" approach to environmentalism that is guaranteed (in my view) to be counter-productive.
I'm thinking more for the people I know who apply their resource-use thinking to a high degree. I would choose not to use nitrous now, I'm glad I (almost) know so I can take a more informed choice, and I'm sure many other people I know would feel the same.

Rest easy here, Jim. If you're fearing some sort of major campaign on this, that's not what I'm thinking.
