Ah it's much easier to interview tescos "ah no we can't do anything - can't interfere with the market" (see R4 this morning) than actually wonder why young people or anyone for that matter might want to drink themselves into oblivion. Legislation, that's what we need, more legislation, to demonise the wasters in our otherwise perfect society. Or something like that. Sorry haven't got an answer but I do agree.

Love the Tesco take on it "we couldn't possibly collude to artificially raise prices, but if the government want to do it for us we'll be only too happy to help"

Tesco said something about the legislation that exists preventing supermarkets from fixing prices between them (remember loads o them got into bother for it last year), but yes, the 'so long as the govt sanctions it' is a bit confusing.
What on earth, then, is their stance here then? Do they even have one? Why comment in the first place?
