I suspect that alot of folks forget that one, lincluding some Americans, like some areswipes forget it here. We had our invasions and conquestst all those centuries ago, and I'm sure most of 'em stopped off for the odd bonk and viola - so the mix begun! The very fact that we don't all all look the same (even amongst the 'white population' - we got brown eyes, blue eyes, fair/dark skin etc) should put to rest any crap about 'race', but it doesn't. That one can be charged all over the place unfortunately.

Anyway, I bet there are pockets of nations tutting 'why do those Brits put up with the royals?' Wondering why we aren't down their with our burning pitchforks already, so assuming we all embrace it etc.
I do suppose it is easy to fall into stereotyping. Like when some human rights violatations occur, anywhere, we do tend to believe it reflects the attitude of that entire nation.
