Why are so many willing to take orders from George Bush? That lying sack of shit ought to be in prison, not the White House.

He and his crew botched every step of their little mideast adventure & now are demanding that we all get with their program and 'win'. Cheney has declared that the Democrats are 'not with the troops' for wanting to put an end to this fragging fiasco.

It's astonishing how compliant some people are when they're called to go halfway around the world and kill people. Why aren't these people refusing to carry out the orders of a lying failure?

...It's a goddamned disgrace that so many have died because of the hubris, greed, and insecurity of a few sociopaths with money. I do think most who join the military do so with more or less good intent (to serve) but end up being shabbily used by their 'superiors' to do the dirty work for rich men.

I believe even more young people join up because they've got nowhere else to go (direction wise) and its a shame. I don't beleive anyone does so imagining they'll ever be in a kill or be killed situation (I think for many that remains an abstract until crunch time), and therefore alot of unwitting psychosis ensues. Like the poor quivering wrecks who used to be shot for desertion and cowardice. It's all too bloody depressing!
EDIT: Worse still, it utterly dehumanises them. Its difficult to feel any sympathy when the 'troops' get it. Guess they're not meant to be 'human' though.
