Thanks all for the kind words. Can't lie, feeling a little wrung out and totally meh! at the mo. Bug didn't even feel that bad till it all went tits up.

As to fluffy pal, he appears to be on the mend, my missus basically stated we aren't a cash machine, do something pro active, else he'll cark it. Anyway they gave us broad spectrum antibiotics and the correct meds for toxyplasmosis (critter was an outside fella till we adopted him, and was/is a bugger for eating slugs).
He appears to be getting back to his old self, but could yet have live damage or cancer even.
Let's hope not eh!
