Nipper surprised me when she bought tix to see Swell Maps C21. Didn't know they'd 'reactivated' tbh. Great night, top gig, great performances, Jowe on fine form. They even managed to rake in Nico and Kurtz to play in the band. Rocked all yer faves and new album stuff sounds promising. If you get a chance to check em' out, I highly recommend. Well weekly tunes went something like ...
Swell Maps - Trip to Marineville/ Jane From Occupied Europe.
The Dandy Warhols - Come Down, Black Album/ 13 Tales of Urban Bohemia (Deluxe)
Come down is still a belter of a record, though still prefer it if the Durany 'Everyday Should Be A Holiday' had been left off, kinda spoils the vibe. Wasn't aware f the Black album, was lead to believe it was some lost gem/prequal to Come Down. In my humble opinion, don't bother.
Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen/Songs In A & E
The Black Angels - Wilderness of Mirrors
Mark Stewert & the Maffia - As The Vaneer of Democracy Starts to Fade 2CD
The Murder Capital - Blindness
Nico - Desertshore
L.A.Witch - Doggod
The Black Arches and Sexton Ming - Folly
Mekons - Horror
Stereolab - Little Pieces of Stereolab
Jane Weaver - Flock
Pop Group - Y in Dub
