Murray Head - Nigel Lived (3 LPs I selected from a 3 for £5 box at the annual Rochester Sweeps record fair. Felt timely finding the late Mike Pinder's LP from the period where all the Moodies were doing solo albums. Was hoping there'd be lots of Melotron but sadly not. The Tom Robinson album felt like a particular bargain being packaged with two other records, but only the War Baby single justified the purchase. North By North West sounds a bit clunky production-wise, and includes an inferior early version of Atmospherics, one of my favourite singles of the 80s when it came out in souped-up form a couple of years later, and the Feel So Good EP suffers from dated late-80s production. The real find here was the excellent Murray Head album, one I've listened to online quite a bit over the past few years, and had often been tempted to pay £20+ on eBay for an original vinyl. I'm glad I waited. £1.66 for a copy in excellent condition with gatefold sleeve and booklet. A bargain!)
