Smog - The Doctor Came at Dawn, Red Apple Falls. I wonder what Bill Callahan is up to these days? Haven't heard him mentioned in a couple of years with his own moniker.

Teardrop Explodes - Kilimanjaro. Put this on as I went to bed and woke up with him sounding like he was on acid (well there's a first)trying to land a plane and crash into the next year prematurely - a live version of sleeping gas. Dunno if it's the best or worst thing I've ever heard.

Tortoise - TNT

Two albums that were new to me and I can heartily recommend after a Spotify play are:

Marconi Union - Weightless (Ambient Transmission vol2). Tried him out after hearing his collaboration with Jah Wobble.

Death in Vegas - Satan's Circus. I seem to recall Keith banging on about this over the years and finally listened to it yesterday. A bit of the old electro krautrock about it of course.

Bill Callahan has been pretty busy over the years but he is definitely due a new one.

The live version of Sleeping Gas is great! A lovely historical document of how the fabulous Teardrop Explodes could be live.
