Swans Burning World Water reissue

I don't remember hearing about Water doing a reissue of the Swans' Burning World lp.

It's a direct reissue so doesn't have all the bonus tracks that the Young God version of 9 years back has but it is at least in print. I guess it just about fits with other material I'm aware of on the label. Possibly more so than it fits in the Swans own catalogue?
I think Gira didn't love the finished product and was p-ed at Laswell for what he'd done to it. Though I guess the White Rabbit era Swans isn't polarly different.
& the live material from '88 and to a lesser extent '89 is about my favourite era of the original continuum.

Glad it's come out again - have been looking for a replacement copy of the old MCA CD that I lent out to a former flatmate and never get back. I know Michael Gira hates it, but I don't - always thought it exemplified how Goth rock should have sounded but didn't.

Sadly in 1989 I bought the tape, as cds were more of a luxury to me being at school....so it's long dead.

I know Gira loathes it - I always thought it would make more sense reissued as Michael Gira and Bill Laswell featuring Swans.

I'd like to see it come out with some great live stuff from Anonymous Bodies... and related stuff

It would be nice if White Light from the Mouth of Infinity and Love of Life come out again - just representing that era with the Various Failures compilation seems a bit weak.

Soundtracks of the Blind and The Great Annhilator are great too...and I really liked their return LP...plus the new one features Jarboe and Low, so must be great...

The Burning World is too fine an LP to not be in print...plus folk are playing silly money for it. I suggested it for an Uncut poll a year or so ago of lost albums and I think it was # 7 of 50 in there...
