EDIT-
How could I've forgotten this from my list? Probably cos it's so odd it crashed the neurons required to stick this in a list. Last week I also listened to -
Christopher Lee - Charlemagne: By the Sword & The Cross.
Chris Lee (yes that one - 83 or 84 at time of recording) makes a metal/operatic/musical concept album based on the life of the Christian warrior king Charlemagne, to whom he claims some distant relation. It's a very odd thing and by the end of it I was thinking "What have I done to myself?!". Truly bizarre. There's a story narrated by a Christina Lee (daughter?) and Sir Chris takes on the role of Charlemagne, looking back on his life through the medium of song. Power Metal chugs pad out symphonic bombast and it's just one of the most bizarre conflagrations of ...things..I've heard. The sleeve art is just mega. I have purchased a very odd artefact.
