Ahh, but Budgie did have a "NWOBHM phase"!

"Power Supply" and the "Do Not Induce Vomitting" EP -- these sound nothing like their early "classic metal" albums!

(Sadly their last couple albums added synths and sound like bad Rush.)

Yeah, I've heard that said before, but I thought they still sounded like Budgie! ;^)

But they'd been around for years. They weren't NWOBHM any more than Raw Power was New Wave.

The very use of the word 'new' disqualifies them, no matter what they sounded like. If someone had said at the time that Budgie were NWOBHM they'd have been laughed at. End of story!

(Not that I care btw!!)
