The only horrendous thing Neil Young could do was to put out compilations for the rest of his days. Maybe most people don't understand the quote but he was talking about staying musically relevant when he sang "It's better to burn out, than to fade away." I have always believed he maintained this promise. And I loved Greendale.

I love Greendale (the album) too, but heard mixed reports about the tour.

His newest "Chrome II" is more close to the "typical Neil mix" if one doesn't like him to get adventurous on "rock operas" or vocoders or whatever it is this year (but for some of us, that's half the fun!)
