I forgot to mention Jim "Dandy" Mangrum of Black Oak Arkansas on my list -- another fine croakin' bullfrog of a singer in the Howlin' Wolf / Cap'n Beefheart tradition!

Croakin' bullfrogs, hehehe, never thought of their voices in those terms before. Know what you mean though !

Don't think I've heard a BOA track in my life though. Out of pure curiosity I feel a trawl through the Kosmik radiation archives may be required.
