Neolithic Cement?

I've just posted a newslink about lime mortar found in China.

I guess Thornborough proves they knew about gypsum, which could be used as an alternative cement.

Mortar was used by the Ancient Egyptians during the Old Kingdom c4500BCE. It was gypsum-based. Some speculation was that it was used more as a lubricant for sliding large stone blocks into place than for its adhesive qualities.
