I've just booked a trip there for June.
I've based most of my research around the wondeful Prehistoric Jersey website and David Johnstons book, The Channel Islands, which you can currently pick-up on ebay for about five new pounds. I can't find much info on island hopping though.
One bizarre fact is that a weeks car hire is cheaper than a weeks bike hire - world gorn mad.
