Arrow Stones

They really do look like the genuine 'I am'. Nice and clear.

But how would you know how old they are?

What about these?

Probably not from arrows, but could be axes, especially given the other axe-related carvings in nearby cairns?

Having since been back and checked, I'd say nah. The marks are there, but are in the same league as the threshold concentrics at Templewood. I'm now quite sure it's nowt to do with axes, but am not sure as to how artificial they are.

Just for tidyness, and returning to the topic of this thread, here's a link to the other thread about arrow stones:http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/forum/?thread=36471
