The perpetrators of the Aberystwyth circle were not Victorian. The circle was created in 1916 to cellabrate the second National Eisteddfod that was held in Aberystwyth. I mistakenly thought it dated back to the first Aberystwyth Eisteddfod, which was in 1865.
