A few years ago I'd have said "it looks just like a typical stone circle", but after my adventures this year, if I've learned nothing else, I've learned there's no such thing as a 'typical stone circle';-)

Indeed! I still have trouble spotting the difference between "standing stone" and "scratching post" as well! And "boundary stone". Although I'm SURE a lot of them are now in secondary use... Oh, and "gateposts". ;o)
