Road Equivalent Tarrif ? never heard of it, sounds good though.
RET has been operating for some years. It covers pretty much all the Western Seaboard of Scotland. It is quite brilliant. Mostly governments and subsidies only work for Multinational Corporations an suchlike.

The prices compared to ten years ago are fantastic. It was like removing the road tolls on the Skye Bridge or giving free bus passes to the elderly. But here, with RET. absolutely everybody wins.

Pity RET doesn't appear to cover Shetland. That is very expensive when taking the car from Aberdeen - although it is a long way to be fair! :)

Couldn't agree more HD. RET really are a good thing.

I went to Eigg this year. £7.70 return for a foot passenger on the ferry. That wouldn't get me that far on a bus round Aberdeen!
