I wouldn't necessarily reccomend going to the rock art June ...
Luckily, June will find that the must-see Balnuaran of Clava site has its own fine examples of rock art and it lies between Inverness Airport and Inverness.

Taking into account that one never has enough time available when attempting to draw up an itinerary when passing through personally unexplored landscapes, I should point out that Cullernie:

can be clearly seen on the A96 between the airport and the town.

Not near Inverness, but you can always try your hand with the rockart right by Bernera Bridge (which you will be very familiar with by the end of your hols!) - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/8410/barraglom.html, or the excellent Rubha Charnain ones down in Harris - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/8408/rubha_charnain.html
