how lovely to read about / see your pictures of Carreg Garn Fawr - the area is where some of my ancestors hail from. not that my family ever mentioned the stone of course, but perhaps I never asked. It is truly lovely round there. Though I have to say, I only twigged where it was when you mentioned those bloody fighter planes, they are awesome like you say but they just make me want to throw myself on the ground. I can well believe they were lower than you!

Me dad was in the RAF so I got dragged to many an airshow, now when I see loud fighter planes I can't help forming a plane with my hand and flying it through the air Whooooom!
I'm not suprised no one mentions the stone it's a right titch, but like we agree its just lovely round here I can't wait for my next trip south, Y Pygwm i'd like to see, we drove through the army land and they were actually burning the hillsides. finished the day off with a visit to Raglan castle.
