Thanks everyone, if something that big can be lost and found in an area as popular as avebury it makes you wonder what else is out there doesn't it?, i once got a bit lost in some woods on arran and found myself in a big unknown ringcairn with clear depressions where stones might have been, the woods are at sannox where there was once a stone circle, the two seem to go together very well, you never know.
