That's right. Are we talking glacial erratics upon deposits rather than the digging away of hill sides - can't recall any dolmens sited in hollows on my travels?
I can recall reading somewhere of a dolman erected (if that's the right term under the claimed circumstances) on a flattish mound and the suggestion was that the uprights had been put into position first then the mound around it removed leaving a pretty level plain. It'll bug me now until I find it!! Help!
