A year or so ago I started caryying around my Gaz camping lantern for a while for just this sort of thing. Unfortunately, I either never ended up at a tomb at dusk or it was always pissing it down when I had the opportunity. Good to see the idea works nicely.

I know the feeling. I've dragged one of those rechargeable 1000k lamps out to photograph rock art, but it's only sort of worked once, and then only 'cos there was a proper photographer there to advise. I'm thinking I need to get back to 35mm and fast film instead of my dodgy digicam.
