Yeh the book works extremely well. The sketch maps are pretty accurate and the 10 figure OS references were blob-on.
The moor was looking beautiful in the low winter sunshine, it's new coat of knee high grass gave it a sort of Steppe vibe (or as RockRich put it " just like Little House on the Prairie").

That's all good to hear, makes me itch to get out there and see some stuff.

I can see that now from the photies, excellent light for showing up the carvings, looks like a grand day out. For the life of me I can't see why more people don't appreciate the wonderfulness of freezing your bones by wandering about bleak moors in the cold, looking for enigmatic geometric depressions in rocks ;)
