Howdo Chris,
I believe the illustrations are Mr Browns work, he also did the maps in Stan's Cumbria book. I saw some large scale versions of the drawings a few weeks ago and would be proud to hang them on my wall. I suggested to Graeme C that Mr Brown could get possibly develop a nice side line knocking out prints and such like.
Mr Rockrich and I are road testing the book tomorrow around the Fylingdales Moor area.

Tomorrow? Lucky buggers!

I look forward to reading how you get on with it. Using the book for seeing the things is the real acid test.

Hi Fitz
Yeah the maps did look to be drawn by the same person as in Stan's book. It was nice to see the forward in PRANYM was provided by Stan too – you can't get a better endorsement than that.

One thing that did surprise me while flicking through was this mention of Rudston –
'The famous cup marked Rudston Monolith...'

Eh? There are plenty of holes in the stone but I wasn't aware any were man made cups. Mindyou I've never expected to see any there, so maybe I never recognised them for what they were. I'll have to dig out some old pictures and give them a closer look.

Make sure you wrap up warm tomorrow ;-)
