There's a Hagg Banks near Alston that follows this description. Traditional grazing site for fell ponies.

There's also Haigh - imported Dutch (?) for hedge. Wall's fine ...

There's also a cup and ring marked stone in Spofforth near Harrogate on Haggs Lane (see url), in area known as Spofforth Haggs. Interestingly i think there may be a riding school or pony stables nearby which links in, albeit loosely!
