Just had a look in archaeology.ie, there is a cist in a place called Killacoola and a megalithic structure at a place called Tinnakilla, both are in the vicinity of Ballyhahill, perhaps it is one of them.
The Megalithic Tomb Survey (Vol IV) says Tinnakilla is "some form of megalithic cist". I'd say it's tat one.

Thanks

Sounds about right.

Hello Bawn79. I'm the guy who sent Tom the Tinnakilla kist picture which I found on FlickR. There is a b+w pic in the Limerick Museum which I googled today, and it shows the monument without the big split in the top.

I realise that my field guide website is rather poor on Limerick stones, so I was wondering if you would let me add some of the sites you have posted up here, with some of your photos, attributed of course (preferably with your real name, but it doesn't really matter) ?

Yours very impressed with Ballinculloo and Ballynamona (surely a kerb ?),
