Hi donegal

This site looks really interesting - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/859/county_donegal.html

but where is it exactly? What Townland?

Can you create a proper site for it and let the Eds know where to move the photo to. If you're not sure how to create a new site post the details here (Townland name and grid reference) and I'm sure someone will create the site for you.

Many thanks (and it's great to have another Irish contributor on TMA!)

Tom

Oh and what is it? It looks like a collapsed portal tomb, but it's one I don't know (from that angle anyway). The capstone looks just like Browne's Hill from the side. Nice!

Hi Tom

Apologies for delay in getting back to you, I'm not very computer literate and am surprised to see my Dolmen photo published on the site as I had trouble posting it.

I live in Ballybofey, the tomb is in Meenglas townland, I've also recently discovered the standing stone near Trusk Lough, easy enough to find on the ordinance survey map.
There are lots of standing stones/tombs in the Finn valley area, a friend and I were talking recently about going out after work on a few evenings to try to photograph as many as possible.

I will try to post more Finn valley sites with more info as I find them but as I said my skills on computers are poor.

All the best
Bernard
