Ewgh indeed. Perhaps it matures like a fine wine in a cellar. Hmm.

Not sure even Lydon would get many takers for that, to be honest.

Nothing much to add to your spot-on analysis, but I do agree that it suffered from make-facts-fit-theory syndrome rather. The Iron Age is quite strangely represented in TV, I thought the same about that episode of the Neil Oliver series.
