I think that both sites perform different functions, but anything that gets more and more people out and interested in our/their heritage cannot be a bad thing. I'm sure that the various fb archaeological/stone pages are some peoples first contact which sparks an interest and hopefully leads them to TMA.

Any medium which gets stuff out there is OK. But trying to get it recognized by mainstream archaeology, especially if it has any validity, is a major problem in Ireland. There is a small cartel of people, who are quite prepared to accept omissions in the historical record, in order to protect their own pensions and government funding. They've being doing it for years, and are a total fucking disgrace.
