Yeah, reckon 50% more that UK is about right...... couldn't afford to eat out except at Burger King........ mind you we did see Lidls and other budget stores springing up as the economic downturn began to bite.
There is probably a Lidl / Aldi in every town in Ireland now. Also surely the hotel prices must be great value? Some serious deals out there.
Just out of curiosity what was more expensive, Id like to be able to say that prices have came down since then, because they have pretty dramatically in some areas.

Is it that prices have gone up or that the Euro:£ exchange rate is so crap? Whatever, like you say, it is worth it so see some of those amazing sites. Looking forward to seeing your pix and reading your fieldnotes x
