This is pretty close to what I dreamed we would have one day. Except that you also have photos.
The map viewer on this website allows you to view down to the old 6" maps all the archaeological sites in Ireland.
All I can say is WOH!

This may be old news, but I was just checking something on archaeology.ie and there's a landscape image imposed on the old map. It looks a hell of a lot better than the local (Cork) Google Earth pics.
