There are three volumes with approximately 300, 400 & 500 pages respectively. There are around 780 illustrations in total and some photos. Information about sites varies enormously. Some are just quick mentions with no clues at all about where a site is other than the townland and parish. Others are much more detailed. There is discussion of monuments from all around the world with many wild and inaccurate comparisons to Irish monuments. There's some very interesting stuff too, including drawings of monuments that no longer exist.

It's a book that I have seen many, many references to. Webster, writing in the JCHAS in 1930, refers to an illustration of Ahaglaslin, but says that Borlase failed to locate Bohonagh. O'Nuallain notes him as a previous visitor to quite a few circles, including Maulatanvally ('near Lettergorman'), Templebryan and others in north west Cork.
If you get a chance would you be able to post some drawings from the Cork area? I know you've got 1001 things to be doing, so there's no rush. I'd appreciate the chance to see what the last 100 years of farming has done.
Incidentally, what is the position with posting plans and pictures from the older books and journals? I have a number of plans of west cork circles by Somerville, Fahy and O'Riordain as well as sketches by Webster. Are there any legal restrictions about putting up someone else's work, even from long ago?
