Hob- what bottle did you rub to coax those latest RA photos from?! Superlative stuff :)

I have some pics discreetly snapped in the national museum in Dublin that I must try and locate, some really nice stuff there too.

I was at Clearagh in Cork a few nights ago and will post some pics over the weekend, one part of it has some nice cups, rings and gutters and the other flat surface is heavily eroded but has the craziest assortment of rock art all over it, doesn't photograph well though.

Cheers Ken :) It was the wonders of the sidefill flash, a translucent sweet wrapper and some gaffa tape. Wish I'd taken the time to use the tripod though, most of the pics were blurry. (Memo to self, must get hold of a decent lens...)

Looking forward to these Clearagh pics, though I know what you mean about how they can be a bugger to photograph. If it's a nice flat surface, clear of lichen, no probs, but these curvy/wavy/lichen-beardy panels are a right pain. Too many shadows.

I can't reiterate too often how chuffed I am to see that thanks to the solid efforts of youse Irish bods here on tma adding to FW's and Mr Weir's existing corpus, open-air Irish RA is starting to seem much more accessible to the non-academic enthusiast. Which will make my life so much easier when I one day get around to visiting :)
