I'm still learning about this stuff - so don't quote me on it yet (please). I think the maximum south moonrises were the week before last. I watched as much as I could of a few of them. I pointed the door of my tent in that direction. The heading of the rising points altered day by day to a considerable amount. (I'd no idea).

I think the maximum north moonsets are today and tomorrow. It was cloudy this morning and a rough calculation suggests that the moon will set at about 9am tomorrow. Will rise in - maybe - guessing ( www.vega.co.za ) - an hour and a half. We forget how much light comes from the moon by living in perpetually-lit cities.
