I don't know much about this, but talk among the locals suggests quarrying will be allowed too close to the stones. This is just local rumour and may or may not be correct.

There is a thread elsewhere on HH on this. Basically Stancliffe Stone have re-submitted their environmental appraisal on the Endcliffe and Lees Cross quarries. I have made comments on it here:

Don't worry any nuisance from quarrying will only be an issues until the 2040's!
