I don't want to sound like a bastard but (hey, it's one of those phrases..)
BUT this site has been so fked about with by people who are allegedly interested in saving it? You don't camp in a circle you want to look after. You don't carve a spiral on a stone?? as one of the photos shows.
When I went there I was so disappointed, it was one of the first sites I'd been to and I felt embarrassed for dragging other people there.
OBVIOUSLY I don't want it quarried. But I just feel like it's been one of those circles that's taken the brunt of visitors and has to be almost written off as a 'honeypot' site. Oh I don't know. You can campaign without camping there, surely.

Fair enough, I might have the wrong end of the stick.

sorry, in a bad mood today.

Hi Rhiannon... agree with all you say if that's the case. I haven't visited the site myself and have no other info... I was just asked to pass the message on. I agree that it's a big shame if the camp has imposed on or damaged the site.

You Bastard,
this is a potentialy tragic event.
I understand your views re. state of moor etc. but whatever you believe I'm sure you dont want even further damage of this most important archaeological/sociological site in this area. I live in Buxton.

I've camped many times at barn Farm + the noise + destruction of one quarry is enough.

I quess it's about money

I cant believe this quarry plan is happening.
I will be there maning the baricades.

did you know that the whole of Derbyshire County Council, English Heritage, are against this plan.
