Hi T.H.!!

According to a Prehistoric Society publication (volume 62 1996)
" A chambered round cairn - of unusual type" can be found at the northern end of Stronstrey Bank, just above Black Coppice quarry.

I've not had time to go and check it out yet, but hope to in the next few weeks.

If you need any more info, get back to me.

B.T.W. If you are going back to Anglezarke, I'd be interested in your views on this :-

i will be in the area next wednesday weather permitting if you have any directions to the stones you found and to the quarry this would be much appreciated as i can only find white coppice on the o.s. map although there is a disused quarry by alance bridge? i do beleive anglezarke has a lot more to offer us and should perhaps be put into a group im sure theres much more waiting to be discovered if you put a 1972 on the end of my name you can find me on yahoo if you have it as im not sure if posting of emails is allowed
regards
simon
p.s. thanks for your help!
