I once saw the outsid eof the museum on the telly, and in the background were a couple of things that screamed 'bullaun stone!' from the background. I tried to find out more, but never could. So plague stones you say? I needs pics, did you get any?
btw, a small (15cm diameter, 10cm deep) bullaun, using modern metal tools, takes about 3 hours in sandstone, about 7 in harder stuff. If using an andesite (stone) pick, double those figures.
