There's a sycamore tree I've a quarter ring-barked - in an attempt to slow its growth to favour its neighbours in the plot - an ash and a scotch pine. I'll probably do the whole job and call the premature yellow leaves art of some kind. It was my Walkman batteries being very low that probably brought me back yesterday so I missed Mike Pitts. This little seam I've found, of bits of branch, is interesting. I'll probably try and pull more bits out after I've properly photographed it. Two years in this field gives lots of opportunity for excv. The stone circle question mark poking out of the peat, nearby, is more compelling...
