Thats a fascinating historical article SS; been looking at your photos as well, the aerial one shows all the old linear field walls coming from the old track across the moors, do they belong to the old farmstead there?

The left-right lines are field drains, probably Victorian. The top to bottom thick line is Victorian fieldwall, probably about 1870. There is a farmstead - called High Shield - that is contemporary with the wall, but is out of the image. The supposed Iron Age and Bronze Age farmstead huts are almost impossible to make out at that resolution. Some of the scattered stones can be imagined as small fieldwalls that have tumbled. There are also Viking and more recent hovel remains - all over, more or less.
