The Architect must of been a bit of a Megalithic fan :-)

Here's a couple of recently discovered stone circles, standing stones, henges and a barrows at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.

All thanks to Google Earth.

They're quite good aren't they. If I weren't fixated on a materialistic spending spree and dinner at Pizza Hut, I'd probably have got out of the car and taken a look.

Are these genuine prehistoric remains preserved by the architect, or are they made to look like that by the architect? If it's the former, the guy or gal needs a medal.
Whats the history of the site

Dave

Christ, it's a nightmare up there at the moment!

My father was a civil enginer for McAlpines when I was a lad and worked on many roads up and down the country. He was very into old sites and all that ley line business too. He told me that all of our roads follow ley lines, even the new ones. He said that's why we find old stones at village cross roads, where the ley lines cross and said the same abouts round-a-bouts. Your pictures certainly suggest my old dad might have been on to something.

New discoveries, indeed... I've been saying that for years! Even on here, sometime back in 2000.

Definitely new; I used to fly above the site when they were building it and they weren't there then.
