The army is above reproach don't you know ... if they want to build more dwellings at Larkhill no one (including English Heritage) will have the power to stop them. I'm surprised their wayward live shell hasn't been mentioned - landing in a field near the village of Patney.

I've just been reading the Daily Mail's online take on the possible summer solstice sunrise sight-line obstruction. The curator of Wiltshire Museum, David Dawson along with Arthur Pendragon have expressed their concerns.

To be fair, it seems the important alignment is the winter sunset which is in the opposite direction but summer sunrise is obviously better for a gathering.

Though "Arthur" is one of the most irritating people i've ever met, i'd say this could be an excellent cause for him to lend his experiences to.
As for the alignment, we just don't know for certain do we ? Even though it gets the MMP seal of approval. ;)
As you know mum, i'm no lover of the place anyway, but this worries me, cos if they allow it with Britain's "premier" ancient site, then who knows what next ? And once it's gone.
