Read a National Trust magazine the other day. Was interested to find that they're going to bury the main road, put the visitor centre mainly underground, with a grass roof to reduce the aerial impact, and base the work they're doing around not only the stones themselves, but with regard to their relationship with the surrounding landscape. Nice to see someone trying to do it right.

Yeah but they`ve been saying that for years and nowts happened yet. When (if?) it finally happens it will indeed put stonehenge back in its landscape context and hopefully put off a few of the 5 minuters but when is indeed the question...
