[quote="nix"]"This exhibition celebrates the journeys people have made in their millions to find Stonehenge. Through a selection of objects and photographs it captures some of their experiences, and champions the project to build a new visitor centre at the site, restore the chalk downland and create a setting that we believe this iconic monument deserves."

And make even more money out of instead of putting right some of the other less well-known but just as interesting sites that other people journey to :-)

Aye, but you could say that about anywhere Mr S – the Pyramids, Karnak etc, verses loads of small, out-of-the-way temples in Egypt which are equally worth visiting (if not equally monumental).

But getting back to the Soane Model; Soane probably bought it in 1832 but I don’t think Mike says how much older it might be – looks pretty accurate for something at least 180 years old.

Must try and get up there to see the exhibition.
