I'm really digging the idea of "recreating a 5,000 year old tradition" which was ditched hundreds of years ago and is now going to feature a "solstice fairy".
I'm loving how people can purchase a lantern kit of £5 and that they can get a refreshment for £2 afterwards if they have already purchased a lantern kit. And the idea of craft stalls selling stuff to the "fairy followers" is simply breathtaking. Should be really magical... what with the "real" Olympic Torch coming to Amesbury next year. A "real" legacy for the future... Stonehenge, Olympics, Fairy, Craft Fair, Community Collage. A confusing discourse on which to base a new "tradition"...
A tad acerbic! Did the building catch fire in that second scene? We do things a bit differently up here...

Must admit I can't see the Solstice Fairy catching on. I've always thought celebrating the winter solstice was in a way reclaiming this time back from the nativity 'fairy-tale' and the traditional spend-glitter-spend. I don't think any self respecting pagan would want to 'reclaim' the Xmas fairy. Leave it where it belongs on top of the tree (if you have one).
